In 2018, VSS was awarded the Victim’s Choice Quality Mark in recognition of our ability to respond appropriately to the needs of victims and survivors at all stages of their journey.
We are now incredibly honoured to share that VSS have successfully renewed this distinction for three more years, with the process described by Supporting Justice as:
“A pleasure to undertake the assessment for the renewal of the Quality Mark (QM) to see how far the service has developed and improved since the 2018 award. The service has clearly been on a journey of continuous, ambitious improvement since its inception, developing from a grants-based system to one which is an industry leader in identifying and responding to the most severe and complex trauma.”
Responding to the announcement VSS CEO Andrew Walker described the renewal of the award as:
“A great achievement, and a deserved recognition of the approach everyone in VSS takes, every day, to support victims and survivors – and to support one another in delivering quality victim-centred services. The award of the Quality Mark provides assurance to us that we are doing the right things well, and gives confidence to our clients, funders and other stakeholders”.
