VSS welcomes the passing of the Inquiry (Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries, and Workhouses) and Redress Bill, as well as the publishing of the Truth Recovery Independent Panel’s landmark report on Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries, and Workhouses.
VSS recognises that, whilst these milestones mark an important step forward, they may also prompt painful memories and emotions for those affected by these institutions.
