Holy Trinity Centre was established for the relief of suffering and distress, the advancement of education and the protection of health in the Belfast area.
We offer programmes and services which aim to support the community, improve quality of life by providing opportunities for personal and social development, leading to increased self esteem and confidence.
Background:
Holy Trinity Centre is situated in the Turf Lodge estate in Belfast. The organisation was established in the early 1970s in order to meet the social, educational, health & well-being needs of residents in that community. Activities have included childcare, senior citizens programme, meals on wheels, arts and crafts and dance groups to name a few.
Services have developed over the years and Holy Trinity now offers 60 day-care places per week for working parents and over 600 counselling referrals per year. Activities for the “over 50’s” also occur 48 weeks of the year.
The Centre opens 5 days and 4 evenings a week. 400 people use its facilities and services on a weekly basis. It employs approximately 21 people and forms part of the Upper Springfield Sure Start and Neighbourhood Renewal strategies, the Protect Life, Suicide Intervention Strategy and the Upper Springfield Healthy Living Initiative.
