MUVE Project’s 10th Anniversary

........................................................................................................................

This year, Mid Ulster Victims Empowerment (MUVE) celebrates its tenth anniversary, and to mark the occasion an anniversary service was held at Cookstown 1st Presbyterian Church.

MUVE was established to provide help and support to innocent victims of the Troubles within the Mid Ulster area. Ten years on, led by Ryan McGeown, the organisation offers welfare support, advocacy, complementary therapies, counselling, recreational activities, excursions, respite breaks, adventure weekends and more. MUVE prides itself on being made up of people from the local community with shared backgrounds and interests and having created a common space where all are welcome. MUVE take a family-centric approach to legacy issues and host a number of trans-generational events, catered for those who have suffered bereavement, physical injury or psychological injury as a result of the Troubles or those who are carers for victims and ex-service members.

We congratulate MUVE on the excellent work carried out in Mid Ulster area so far and look forward to developments in the future!
