Mental Health Awareness Week

Loneliness

........................................................................................................................

Mental Health Awareness Week runs from Monday 9 – Sunday 15 May and is the national week to raise awareness of mental health. The theme for this year is ‘Loneliness‘,

VSS offers support to victims and survivors experiencing social isolation and loneliness. More recently we have developed a ‘Small Value Items’ tool to help support individuals with their immediate social isolation needs. This tools aims to provide access to items and activities that may help to keep individuals connected with family and friends within their community. Through this, our Health and Wellbeing Caseworkers can provide quick interventions to ensure individuals get the necessary support to improve their health and wellbeing.

If you are experiencing any issues around social isolation or loneliness please contact a Health and Wellbeing Caseworker or VSS directly to find out more about our social isolation framework support and the small value items tool.

You can access the contact details for the Health and Wellbeing Caseworkers in your area here or our contact details here.
