Head of Learning and Growth
REF: HOLG/04/24
Grade 7, Permanent

 

Salary: £52,578 – £56,237 per annum (under review)

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the role of Head of Learning and Growth is to define, lead, coordinate and achieve the successful delivery of the work undertaken by three diverse teams within the organisation, addressing service development and reporting, communications and awareness raising, and the monitoring and evaluation of the organisation’s impact in delivering its strategic aims.

By the closing date for applications, candidates must demonstrate that they fulfil each of the following essential criteria:
1. A degree level qualification or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ senior management* experience in an organisation that delivers a programme of services to the public, either directly or through a series of external delivery agencies.
3. A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders, using research and other information to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
4. A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing innovative leadership to achieve organisational objectives, and reporting, monitoring & evaluating delivery and outcomes in line with such objectives.
5. Experience of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at senior levels, and with service users.
6. A current UK Driving Licence with access to a car. This will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements.

1. A degree level qualification or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 3 years’ senior management* experience in an organisation that delivers a programme of services to the public, either directly or through a series of external delivery agencies.
3. A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in each of the following areas: • Working in partnership with key stakeholders to develop strategic initiatives; and • Programme Management
4. Experience of representing an organisation at a senior level, working with strategic stakeholders.
